  The Chronicle of Nelson Mandela Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela was born on July 18 th in 1918, in Mvezo, South Africa. He was the son of an important leader; he showed a rebellious spirit against the injustices of the colonial and racist system that ruled his country. Throughout his life, he studied to become a lawyer. The forties, Mandela started fighting against apartheid, a system of racial segregation imposed by the white minority in South Africa. He did many activities to talk about the racial problem. He met with his friend and other groups of people to analyze ways to address this problem. But he became a reference:  Mandela was arrested in 1962 for his subversive activities against the regime. During this time, he made his famous speech, he was willing to die for his ideas.
